She also traded to the West Coast, and latterly between the Pacific slop e and Australia, carrying lumber and coal. The antiope was the largest sailing vessel captured by the Japanese during the Russo-Japanese war. She has sailed under rlie flags of several owners; Steps are being taken to organise labour required for harvesting operations. With this end in view, the various agences of the Labour Department through the Dominion are now recording the .names of men who will -be available for this work. It is expected that the men will first be required in the Ikmgitikei, Manawatu, Wanganui, ami (Wairarapa districts of the North Island.
