STOCK REPORT,
Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Taihape sale, held en the 4th inst.:
-Wo had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle for this time cf the year, particularly wethers, off bush burns. We quote:
Fat wethers, on account of Mir V. Smith, 33/8; others, 29/6, 28/; tat and forward wethers, 24/9 to 26/6; lambs, IS/,. 19/, to 21/7; mixed age ewes, 19/6, 21/6 to 23/9; rams 11/. Cattle. —3 and 4 year steers £9 15/ to £lO/5; 3 year steers, £8 10/ to £8 17/6; mixed weaneps, £2 5/ to £2 10/6;' store cows, £4. DALGETY AND COMPANY, LTD. •< Dalgety and Company. Palmerston North, report .having a large yarding of seehp and cattle at their Taihape sale en the 4th cf August, most of which was at prices highly satisfactory to the vendors. We quote: Sheep.—Mixed aged ewes in lamb, 23/4; mixed aged ewes in lamb (culls) 9/2; 4 "year ewes'in lamb, 26/6; wether lambs, 17/7 to 20/; ewe lambs, 18/2 to 22/; mixed lambs, 16/6 to 19/9; 2 and 4-th wethers to 22/5; 2-tooth wethers, fat and forward, 30/4; fat wethers 23/10
Cattle. —Forward bullocks to £lO 5/; 2 to 21 year steers £4 14/ to £8 3/: forward cow s £5 11/; store cows £3 10/ to £4 3/; mixed yea(rlings £1 16/; 15 months' steers £3 12/6; springing cows £3 10/ to £5 7/6; springing heifers £4 14/ to £6 10/; Poled Angus bull £3 10/; empty cows £3 10/.
