The present rate of progress is SOft each week, and the tunnel should be completed inside of three years . In an interview in New York, Herr V ’ Bern burg stated that Germany did not release any of her subjects from the allegiance they owed to her. Once a German, always a German, he stated, and it did not matter whether be was naturalised in Britain, America, or in France, he was still a German and liable to serve in the German army or to serve tbs German nation in any way when called upon.
