AM ENJOYABLE FUNCTION
WOUNDED SOLDIER’S FUND,
A very enjoyable danc© was held ! in the Rangiwaea Public Hall, under the auspices of the Hall Committee, on July 30th, in aid cf.th|e Ne|W Zealand Wounded Soldiers’ Firm! Tli© music was delightful and the floor perfect. The former was provided by Mrs Borlase and Messrs W. G. Wango, J, McCann, and Stewart Spoondv
Mrs® D. Ball, Mr T. Bradley, and Mr ’Chas Ford©: (Ruanui) each sent a cheque for £1
' The ; following settlers and residents presented thla various Articles named below, which weretr sold for the benefit of th© fund Mrs Carroll, Mrs O’Conner, 1 pai'r White Leghorn' Fowls; Mr Pederson, a doll; Mr Strachan, turkey; Mrs McCann, trtrkey; Mr and Mrs James Garutmdsway, leg of pork; .Mrs Reo, Tekocra, pin pul; Misses Dora and Elsie Dowdy, 1 pair of bantams; Mrs H. Howdy, White Leghorn fowl; Mr H. Gowdy, hind quarter of mutton; Mr P. stubbing, box of razetrs; Mrs J; Stubbing, 6 eggs; Mr F. Collins, 1 Kodak camera
The total amount realised was £2B. and tho danc© was a succor, s both financially and socially, contributing not only to a very worthy cause, but also in no snta.ll manndr tc the happiness of those present
