Two deaths occurred at the Trenthani Hospital yesterday: Lance-Cor-poral John Carville Zvlunrc, F Squadron, Sixth Reinforcements, died of septicaemia. The next of kin is Mrs J. C. Munro, Taihape; and Private Ernest G. Gribble, N.Z.M.C., ided of meningitis. His next cf kin is Mrs James Gribble, Waiuku.

At the Trentham Commission, to-day David Robertson, who assisted to raise money at Petone for the Trentham Hospital, stated that when he interviewed Surgeon-Major Fyff e there, that officer was most condemnatory of the action of the authorities regarding hospital equipment. H e said many of the oases sent to Wellington could ’be treated at Trentham if the proper equipment wer e there. Justice Kosking announced that the Public Works Dept, advised the area of the original camp was 5 acres, and the hutment area Cl acres. Dr De Latour, continuing his evidence, produced a diagram to support his contention that tents had been pitched over abandoned latrines.
