Caucus resumed con-to-day of the Premier s for a National Cabinet. Seen after the caucus adjourned at 12.30, Sir Joseph Ward stated that h e was not able to disclose the result of deliberation and that he had no communication to make to the press.

A landslip on the railway at Taringaimitu delayed the north-bound express until the debris was cleared. The express arrived at Auckland eighty minutes late.
BANK CHARGES
TO SOLDIERS IN EGYPT.

In reply to the statement recently
made by Mr Coates, M.P., that a person had been charged £Tby the Bank «f New Zealand in addition to cable carges, for cabling £5 to a soldier la Egypt The local manager of the Bank of New Zealand states that this must have been a mistake, the fact that the Bank is remitting up to £25 free for members of the forces, the sender having to pay only the cable charges. SYNDICALISTS IN AUCKLAND. "WEAPON OF MILITANT MINORITY AUCKLAND, This Day.
The presence of an organisation of syndicalists in Auckland was mentioned by Mr Craig, president of the Auckland Employers’ Association, at the annual meeting. He said a direct group had established headquarters in this city, and wer e openly advocating scientific sabotage as being the most powerful weapon of a militant minority. He made the statement so that members of the Association should be aware of tho presence of such dangerous individuals. DEATH OF TWO SOLDIERS. WELLINGTON. July 21. Two soldiers, who died in Wellington from meningitis in the last 24 hours are Trooper Daniel Kempthorne, belonging to Templeton, Christchurch, who died at 11.40 p.m. on Tuesday in Victoria Hospital; and Private Duncan' Fraser, of Pokeno, sear Auckland, who died at 12.45 a.m. Wednesday in the General Hospital. The next p; n were not ascertainable Ao-night.

It is official}' stated that Trooper Daniel Kempthorne. of Templeton, who died at the Victoria Hospital yesterday, was suffering: from measles, pneumonia, and bronchitis, not eerebro-spina] meningitis.
