BILLIARD EXHIBITION.

AT BEBAN’S SALOON. TO-MOEROW NIGHT. The New Zealand Champion billiardist, Mr. Clark McConachy, is advertised to give an exhibition game at Steve Beban’s Excelsior Rooms, Taihape, to-morrow evening (Thursday). He will concede the local champion of the cue, Mr. J. De Luen, 350 points out of 750, which should make things pretty interesting for Mr. McConachy. Without doubt, this exhibition will be well worth while for every amateur player to witness. With every new champion at the game something new is presented for us to learn, and from repute there is a good deal to learn and admire in the new champion’s mode and methods of play. It was only last week that he beat the late champion of Auck land, Mr. Stevenson, in a game of 9000 up, winning by 725 points. Mr. McCon achy’s best break is 1083, made at Timaru, and as he is now only 20 years of age, something better than even this is sure to result with the cultivation of such natural ability. The exhibition takes place on Thursday, to-mor-row night.
