THE RED DANDIES. ISEXT TUESDAY NIGHT. Per a lung time the name of Edward Branscombo has in Australia been associated with the ronderius- of Euj£lisli music, and the prcdivittoas of high-class costume comedy companies, and now after five years the business has grown to such an extent that it is considered te largest of its kind in any part of the world, and to-day no less than six companies are showing nightly in the Brauscombe circuit:, with an aggregate of sixty artiste The Bi an scorn bo companies have visit, cd almost every part of the world whore the Union Jack flutters, and many countries where never an English company played before. As a seni, writer, Mr Rranscombo is famous in the Old Country ,aud lie will be remembered by many as the artistic tenor with the Westminster Glee Party which toured under his direction with so much success some years ago, and h e is responsible for all the arranging of the musical numbers of the various Dandies. The Red Dandies Co., which opens at the Town Hall on Tuesday next, is, in addition to being the pioneers of the Dandies, considered the strongest combination and success which it achieved two years ago will be remembered by the thea-tre-goers of Taihape. The presonnel has been alterd somewhat, and in addition to tlio old favourites, many new artists have been added.., and the company as it will appear here, is, according to Australian and New Zealand critics, the ideal in costume comedy. With almost an illimitable repertoire of songs, sketches, scenes., burlesques, instrumental items, dramatic recitals and ragtime specialities, programmes ar c , presented which 'om* ■' to the taste of all who appreciate an entertainment which is ever • r.joyebH and ef a most refined na> uro. end ..Would anneal to young and old of cither sex.
