ENTERTAINMENTS.
THREE STARS THEATRE. The change at this theatre to-night will be “A Night with Dickens,’’ when that popular drama, “The Chimes,’’ will be screened. It is a play that electrified England, and no Dickens’ enthusiast should rest till he has seen It. It is a play that increases compassion and promotes loving kindness and sweetens human nature. Another goo*, picture is “Does It End Eight’”—a play that makes you gasp. The programme is supported by comedies, comics, seenics, etc. KING’S THEATRE. The first screening of the new programme last night was witnessed by a good house. The star picture, “The Brute,’’ with Malcolm Williams in the title role, was perfect. The acting, staging, and scenic effects were good, as is always the case with the Famous Players, and we recommend those who have not seen it to do so. The picture will be shown to-night and to-morrow night, also at the matinee to-morrow ar 2 o’clock. Little Mary Piekford, in “The School Teacher and the Waif, *• was a great success. “The Battle of the Sand Dunes,’’ taken from an aeroplane, gives some idea of trench warfare, Mabel Normand as the Telephone Exchange CHrl is very funny.
