TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Taihape Borough Council was held in the Council Chambers last night to discuss the recommendation from the Works Committee yith respect to the metalling of Borough roads. The matter was subjected to a good deal of discussion before a decision was arrived at. It was eventually decided that th e Council adopt the recommendation from the Works Committee, that the work set out in the schedule submitted at the last ordiary meeting, in regard to the metalling of roads, should be gone on with. In connection with the proposed works, the Borough Council is negotiating with the Railway Department for a supply of metal from Ohingaiti. These matters "will bs further dealt with at the next ordinary meeting of th e Council.
