EQUIPMENT URGENTLY NEEDED
The following letter was received by Mrs Arrowsmith yesterday: "The Mayoress', in the name of Taihape, has undertaken 3 beds, one of which St. Margarets' Guild has already generously offered to completely equip. "Will anyone willing to help with the others, please communicate wfith Mrs Arrowsmith without delay?" EQUIPMENT FOR ONE BED AND PATIENT. 4 sheets, 2 by 3 yards 4 pillow slips, 32 by 20 inches 2 draw sheets, 12 by 1 yard 2 suits pyjamas 2 flannel nightshirts 1 day shirt (flannel) 6 handkerchiefs 3 white Turkey towels 1 pair slippers 1 pair bed sox 1 pair day sox 2 linen feeders, 27 by 20 inches, finisher. These ar e to save sheets when feeding the men; ours are made of mercerised cotton. Military Hospital Guild, Town Hall Wellington. Dear Madam, — The Government has commandeered the Racing Club Buildings and the Golf Club House, Heretaunga, in consequence of sickness in Trentham Camp. A good many private houses have also been offered. • Hearing this, Mrs Luke, Mayoress, at oc.ee interviewed the Hon. R. H. Rhodes, Minister for Public Health, and called a meeting of t,he Military Hospital Guild, at which an emergency equipment as shown in enclosed list, was decided on, and it was resolved to ask th e aM of country districts. Should you feel inclined to help, will yeu unftprtake to com.pl©te7y equip on e bed or beds as per list, letting us know the number, to prevent overlapping, and also vary the work for each district.
