Irwin's occupation of a strip of Crown land south of Owhango Railway Station, and applciations from others for use of portions of said si riy. It was resolved toadjourn the matter to next meeting. C. Boote applied for a permit to occupy a strip of Crown lad between road and railway south of Owhango railway station, and it was resolved to adjourn the matter to next meeting. Applications having been received from Messrs A. Anderson and A. F. Chamberlain for permits to cut timber on Crown land, situated to the east of Section 2fl Block XVI, Kaitieke S.D.. it was resolved to obtain a report from the Ranger on the dead timber in that locality with the view of inviting local tenders for the right to cut it. E. Amer asked Dermission to let a cottage on Section 28, Mangaweka V.S. —Granted. Kaitieke County Council applied for the use of an area cf Crown land lying to the south of Section 2. Block VI, Kakahi Township. ?« ?. r\t? for a roadman's cottage. It was resolved or offer the council a lease for fiv,. years ' under Section 120 cf the Land Act, 1908, at a rental of £1 per annum with. out. compensation for improvements. Kaitieke County Council applied fpr' th e us e of Section 5, Block V, Piriaka, township, as a site for a. roadman's cettage. It was resolved to recom-" mend that 10 years' 'lease be granted.
