A MEMORABLE INTERVIEW. Tho Paris correspondent of the “Daily ews” telegraphs: General Zurliucleu describes in the “Ganlois” a meeting between Generals French and Foch, which will go down to posterity as one- of the most thrilling during the war. It was th e first of November, at 2 o’clock in the morning. Foch arrived at the British Headquarters, and said to General F/rench; “The Germans have sixteen corps in front of ns. We have only ten with yours, ami if you retire I shall remain with eight. Remain! The British Army' never Brew back in history. As for myself, I give you ray word as a soldier I will rather die than re peat. Give me yours." General French had listened in silence. Moved to tears, lie grasped General Foch’s hand, and promised.
