In liis publication,* 1 ‘ Great Deeds of the War,” Mr. T. P. O’Connor puts the British situation very graphically in the form of a rallying cry and anpcal: “Let us mobilise; let up all be mobilised; the mere giving of money does not exhaust our duty to the war. Wo ought to give service as well, and service which costs us some sacrifice. How splendid is the example of self-sacrifice that our splendid fighting men show to us all. Think of the men of vast fortunes with everything in the world that money •can buy, young, hopeful, the world all before them, who have thrown all these things. up and to-day are sleeping in wayside graves marked with a tiny cifojw,”.. „ L i.. r m vnAmP '
