A deputation representing Auckland iatersts will wait upon the Prim* Minister on Wednesday -o make rep>'e sentations with regard to the shipment of meat. The members of the deputation will urge, that the northern province has net received all the space to which it is entitled.
Mr Massey, mentioning this matter to a representative of the "New Zealand Times" this evening, said that he thought he would be able to convince this deputation as he had convinced other representatives of provincial interests, that the Government had done th e best possible under the peculiar circumstances created by the 'war. One result, of the shipping trouble, bs said, ought to be an improvement'in the provision for the storage of frozen meat. "Down in Canterbury they have erected within two months a refrigerating store capable of holding 80,000 carcases. If thelr e were more stores the Dominion could face a temporary shortage of s,hips without anxiety." AUCKLAND, Juse 22.
