Included in th e passengers by the Maitai from America on Sunday was Archbishop Redwood, who is returning to New Zealand aftoji- thirteen months' absence. His Grac 8 attended the Marist Conference in France, afterwards proceeding to Rome, where he had an audience with the Pope. Archbishop Redwood also travelled through Spain and thence proceeded to America. Whilst in Rome he met Mother Mary Joseph Aubert, a well-known local nun, who has done much in the cause of charity here. The Admiralty annonuce that in reference to the statement issued, on Ma(rch 25th reporting the sinking of th e German submarine TJ29, the submarine was sunk by one of His Majesty's ships.
