J In its Political Notes the Wellington Times says: There is a vacancy in the Ministry, due to the defeat at the general election of Mr F. M. B. Fisher, Minister for Marine, Rumour has it that Mr D. H. Guthrie, member for Oroua, will be the new Minister, and that he will take the portfolio of Education, now held by the Hon. James Allen. New regulations under clause 141 of the Land Act, dealing with ;th e wood ipulp industry, are published in the "Gazette."
