At yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board. Dr. Barnett was appointed surgeon at the Tailiape Hospital. Parata, M.P., has addressed a circular to the Ku fives of Xew Zealand. in which he says:— ‘‘A special message from the War Council in England to His Excellency Lord Liverpool has been received asking for reinforcements to our contingent. Five hundred men are required in the Maori training camp at Avondale, Auckland, within the next month —30th.
