KING’S THEATRE. Tins popular theatre was again wollattended last night, when a very tine programme was screened, headed by one of the best laugh-producing pictures yet shown in Taihape, entitled “Never Again.” It is a good comedy from beginning to end and kept the patrons in roars of laughter. A very fine scenic film showing views in Brunswick met with approval, and the third series of “Dolly of the Dailies” was also a good picture. This programme will be screened again to-night. TOWN HALL PICTURES. An> excellent programme of pictures was screened at this theatre last night, when the fine dramatic story, “The Race for the Rubies, ” was shown. As the hall is engaged for a meeting tonight, Mr. Bailey has consented to show several pictures prior-to the mooting free. To-morrow night he will be showing a. completely now programme of flic latest pictures. THREE STARS THEATRE. The very good programme submitted at this theatre last night attracted a .good house. Tin's evening there should be an oven better attendance . A fm'e War Gazette was shown, depicting battalions of soldiers from the five Australian States, also Tasmania and New Zealand. It was indeed a very fine picture. The return of the naval brigade after the capture of Samoa was also shown. Miss Alice Joyce in “The Mayor’s Secretary” was really “out on her own.” Other good pictures were also screened. The thirty-one nurses who recently left New Zealand for service abroad have now definitely received instructions -on route that they are to proceed to Egypt. The Minister for Defence, the Hon. Jas. Allen, stated on Saturday that he had received information to that effect. Originally, it had been intended that the nurses should go to England. It is probable that the second squad of nurses will sail in the. Hospital Ship.
