It was Tesolved to re-offer section 11, block 5, Horopito West Township, 2 roods, on renewable lease, at present rent with value of improvements reduced, from £lO 10/-. to £3, •It was resolved to re-offer section 6, block 7, Whirinaki, area 498 a 2r, under Part 111. of the Land Act, 1908, at the original capital value of £930, iad to recommend offering subject to section 127 of the Land Act, 190 S, with exemption for four years. Messrs. Laird Bros, applied for a few acres of section 6, block 7, Whirinaki, as a site for a homestead. —Refused. . . ':,.''' • J. P. Barber applied for section 9, block 9, Kaitieke S.D., as a site for a dwelling and homestead, and it was resolved to decline his application. The -Tiratu Sawmilling Company sipplied for a permit to graze on sections 3 and 4, block 7, Makotuku S.D.—lt was resolved to allow them to graze on about 20 acres in south-east corner of section 4, at a rent of £5 per annum, and also permit them to graze on other burnt patches provided they grass them and keep down noxious weeds on the whole area grazed. . The Kaitieke County Council applied to have section 2, block 5, Raurimu. Township, 0a lr Op, set aside as a reserve for countj r purposes.—lt was resolved that the board cannot see its way to comply withHhis request, and to offer this section for cash by public auction at an upset price of £75. Messrs. .Perhnm, Larson and Co. applied for the freehold of part section 31, block 5, Karioi, 0a 3r lOp, which they are at present leasing from year to year, and it was resolved to decline to consider the matter until the subdivision of the adjoining land takes place. A report was received from the
ranger makiug suggestions for the grouping of certain sections in the Horoprto Village Settlement.—lt was resolved to adopt: the four, groups suggested and to rc-offer them under Part 111. of the Land Act, Ii)QS, at-the. price, of £5 per acro> sections comprising the groups to be withdrawn from sale as at present advertised. Rights of tramway to be reserved. H. E. Barnett, lessee of seetion 10, block 11, Rangataua Village Settlement, 6a 3r 9p, wTote stating that ho had enlisted in the expeditionary force, and applied to let the section to John Pumphry during his absence. — Approved.
