WINTER SHOW COMMITTER, p A meeting of the Winter Show Coin-. . mittee of the Rimgitikoi Agricultural and "Pastoral Association . was held ,in i the Association'a rooms last evening* In. the absence, of the president, Mr. «T. B. Cunninghame was voted to the chair. Previous minutes were read and firmed. The secretary was instructed to pay the affiliation fee to the New Zealand Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association. The Taihape Women's Working Club asked for space in the show-room for the purpose of conducting a jumble stall in aid of the fund for furnishing: comforts to Taihape boys at the front.-. The unanimous opinion of the meeting was that the request be granted,. but it was desirable to ascertain definitely what space would be required.. The secretary pointed out that th'o* Taihape sale day had been fixed so that' .the show would not eoinciue with tho date. ItNvas decided io retain the uays; fixed —July 21 and 22 —as being cm sale day would not detrimentally affect the attendance. A sub-committee was appointed to -Arrange all matters in connection with the hall to be engaged. The secretary informed the meeting that a Government official had stated that the Department had a moving pier #A ture of particular interest to-faririWa;"" and if the Association wrote to the Minister-a-loan of it would most likely be granted.
