Upon the committee’s recommendation the Conference decided upon a nationalisation of monopolies platform, which included sugar; adopted a fighting platform to secure effective federation; resolved in favour of new protection; nationalisation of monopolies; Arbitratin Act Amendment; navigation ’a.ws amendment, re freight and passenger steamers; restriction of public borrowing; electoral reform; national insurance; initiative and referendum: abolition of legislative councils. The Conference further adopted the committee’s proposal to establish a tribunal for the prevention of war and Cor tho settlement of international disputes.
