HIDE AND SKIN REPORT. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held on Friday a successful sale of wool, crutchings, and the usual ; fortnightly offering of skins and hides. iThis being the first special sale of the 'season for crutchings, attention was naturally directed to that part of the sale, and the prices paid far exceeded all expectations, so that the results should be pleasant news for vendors. The range of prices given below shows the state of the market, so that we need only remark that hides were slow of sale with a drop of a id to a lld per lb for heavy ox, and other lines slightly easier than at last sale. I Our next sale is set down for the :28th May ,and we are also, receiving | consignments fou the .special crutching sale on the 11th June. The following is the range of prices: Wool.—Crossbred fine Hid to 15?.d; crossbjred medium coarse 12d to 15i]d; pieces and bellies Bid to lOid; locks and stained pieces s? s d to 6id; crutchjings, superior, 13Jd to 14vd; crutchiings, medium good, lid to 13£d; crutchlings, seedy and inferior, 8d to 102 d; lambs lid to 16d; dead, 9i;d to 13? d.
