At Marylebone, George Hieronymous a 3 r oung German, was charged with failing to register himself or to notify a change of address. It was stated that at the outbreak of the war he registered himself at Tottenham Ccurt Road, and was interned at Handsworth. After protesting to the detective who tearrested him that he was a bank clerk and a gentleman, and not the man wanted, and finding his protestations vain, he said, "Ugh, what care 1? Hie Germans will be here in a few weeks." The magistrite Joined heartily in the general laughter, and eventually sentenced the accused to two months’ hard labuor, and re3omm.end.ed him for deportation.
