ENTERTAINMENTS.

TOWN HALL PICTURES. An excellent programme of pu|mres was shown at this theatre last night, but this eevning an entirely new selection of subjects will be screened. The leading drama to-night will be "The Poor Relation.” It is a drams^j^absorbing interest and one that will rivet the attention of the audience right to the last scene. Two auxiliary dramas will also be shown, one entitled ' ‘ All for Business,” being a fine production. The educational him, "Highways and Byways of England, ’ ’ should also be of great interest. The humorous element w'ill be supplied by three comics, one of which is entitled "He Had to Elope,” and the many humourous incidents will create roars of laughter. KING’S THEATRE. The good class of programme submitted at this theatre has been maintained of late, and last night the programme was again an excellent one, headed by the star drama, "Teas of the Storm Country. ’ ’ There was a very good attendance, and the applause was frequent. The star drama was a splendid picture, and, in fact, is one of the best that has yet been screened in this town. The theme of the picture is unusual, and there is a strong story of love running through it, which makes the picture very appealing. There are other good subjects included in the programme, which is a really good A film entitled "From Virgin Soil to Agricultural Wealth” is also a very interesting one. Altogether, it is a programme that should not be missed. THREE STARS THEATRE. A new- programme will be submitted to-night, .when a fine Pathe drama will be screened, entitled "From the Land of Shadows.” It is the soul story of a scientist and dates back to to when the world was young. Another fine picture on this programme is "Our first Line of Defence”; also a Pathe War Gazette, scenies, and comics, etc., making a really good programme. As the Borough Council cannot supply power for this Hall to-morrow be shown to-night only. Skating will be held at the Three Stars to-morrow night instead.
