. MONTHLY MEETING. j The monthly meeting of the above | Society waa held in the Nurse's Boom, | Town Hall, on Friday last. Present:- i Mesdames Nathan (chair), De Latour, McCormick, Loughnan, Barnett, James, J Wrightson, Timbs, Somerville, Jen- j nings, and the secretary. } Nurse Jones reported that there were ', 66 cases on the books, five being new ] cases, and that the health of the babies. with very few exceptions, was most satisfactory. During last month she paid 136 visits to homes and received 50 visitors at the office. Arrangements have been made at the Manguweka | School for her to give an hour's talk 1 to the senior girls in the feeding and care of baby. The Huntervillo branch of the Society is well started, and the Nurse, who has arranged to pay fortnightly visit's there, has already several babies on her books. The secretary repjrted that Nurse Jones had informed her that if Mr. Cochran were approached he would get up a concert for the benefit of the I Society. The committee decided that ks the Plunket Society would be givi i • an entertainment later in the year, it suggests that Mr. Cochran should give his concert in aid of relief funds.
