There have been very many schemes for raising funds to feed the starvingBelgians, some good, some doubtful; but a novel- and praiseworthy little suggestion that ought to result in the raising of a considerable sum appears in Everybody's Journal for May. Miss Mary Card, author of one of the bestknown books on Crochet-Work and perhaps the most expert Crochet-Work designer in Australia, has designed a doyley in semi-Irish crochet-work, with_. an Australian motif. A large photo- \ graph of the design . appears Everylady's Journal, *nd Miss Card offers to send a photograph of the doyley, and printed directions of its working, to any reader who will post her 7d in stamps. One penny of thispays the postage, and the balance of the money goes to the Belgian Fund. Any reader of this paper may take advantage of the offer, and should post 7d in stamps or postal note to Miss Card, Post Office, Olinda, Victoria. She will get a delightful doyley design, and at the same time be donating 6d to the Belgian Fund. Fuller details are given, in Everybodv's Journal for May.
