Inundations along the Yser are subsiding. Fighting is livelier, and tallies with the wounded that are daily arriving- at Bruges'. '••'.' "■. THE INNOCENT GERMAN! PROTEST AGAINST WICKED BRITISH SAILORS. SIR EDWARD GREY'S REPLY. 'LOUDON, April 20. ,Mr Page (U.S. Ambassador) handed Sir Edward Grey Germany's protest against the seizure of the German steamer Pallat conveying German refugees from Tsihgtao towards Tientsin en the ground that the vessel was'3ngaged on a humanitarian mission,and therefore was exempt from seizure. Sir E. Grey,.in his reply, contends that the seizure was justifiable as the removal of refugees had the effect of increasing the fortress's power of resistance. He expresses astonishment tt Germany's protest in view of the xrpedoing of the Admiral Ganteanne, vhkli was conveying refugees to Engand, unmindful of th e dictates of hunanity.
