THE BELGIAN FUND.
A DANCE IN AID. A dance in aid of the Belgaiu Fuus was held in Dcola’s Hall on Friday evening, a large number being press# ent. The sum of £l4 will go to swell th© amount in aid of Belgian sufferers. The committs desire to express their very hearty thanks to M» Chase and his friend for the excejlence cf thg music they provided w lifeout charge of any description, and Fp Mr VC. Goodwin for the use of i\iano placed in tha hall free of charge; also to Miss'May Deakin and Misses 0. and M. Kamiiton for the splendid result oS their efforts in selling tickets in th<f hall, as Avail as to those who sold tickets for the dance, and the ladies who so ably conducted the supper arrangements. Thanks are alyo cine to Mr Hamilton for supplying soft drinks, Mr' J. Gilchrist who generously donated a sheep which realised the fine--11 gh.ro of £5, also for poultry donated by Messrs U. Deakin, J. Eagle, Arnett and Mrs Maugham, which realised twenty-one shillings. Extras were played at the dance by Mesclanics Chatfleld, Qlingtoa, Miss MePhee and ethers, which Avero heartily applaud e.d.
