CAP.P ENT £ R.S’ STRIKE. CHICAGO BUILDING iSVGpPED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) (Reed. 1.40 p.m.) ; NEW YORK. April 16. One hundred thousand trade- unionists have struck at Chicago as the outcome of the failure of 16,000 carpenters to secure increases of wages. The entire building construction work of Chicago is at a standstill.
