TOWN HALL TICTUBES. A 'crowded house at the Town Hall on Saturday night was vary, enthusias tit in their applause of the excellent programme, which was perfectly screened. The difficulties,, and drawfeadks of getting a new machine in thorough Tunning order has now been tovercome, mid -everything went, with an even swing from start to finish, with--out :a hitch. The programme was :a lengthy one, extending tc 10.30 but fso great was the intereiL in “The Count of Monte Cristo” that in one tired of its length, and every one went ‘home thoroughly pleased. O.i Sunday evening an excellent programme was : Shown -toa large and appw,.nr<ve audifence. Touiight there will be no pictures if; the Town Hall as the Hall is otherwise engaged. For Tuesday and Wednesday an unusually high-class programme will in elude "Woman against Woman/’ a ‘•3;500 feet melodramate film of a hsorb•ing interest in three acts. It sets forth ■the’3 : fe of two sisters who are thrown -on the world after the death of their [father. The -whole piece is burning with human passions of an extreme character, keeping the audience in almost 'breathless ■expectancy.' Xo one should miss this fine film on Tuesday |-evening.
