ENTERTAINMENTS.
NIOHOLLS’ PICTURES. A complete change of ] vogramme takes place at both theatres to-night. At the Station Street Theatre will be screened what is termed a potent programme headed by a tine drama, sweet and tender and helpful, with a universal appeal, entitled "Codes of Honour. " It is a human story of a suffering woman, who had lived a harsh life, and rose to cm me me by true courage. Another drama that fairly exudes the life of the West'ns "Down Lone Gap Way," which is clean and engrossing. Keen with inspiring climaxes, "Bunny’s Swell Affair" is a spontaneous volcano of laughter, breezy and bright. Five other fine pictures make up a really excellent programme. At the Three Stars will be screened an Edison masterpiece told in a wonderfully powerful manner. Its title is "In the Shadow of Disgrace," avid it is a beautiful love story filled with emotion. It is the tragic story of a secret marriage, with an excellent moral. A beautiful Keystone farce will provideMhe comic element. It is called "High Spots on Broadway." Five other educational and war pictures will also be screened, making altogether a programme far above the average. THE FRIVOLITY MINSTRELS. APPEAR TAIHAPE APRIL 9. The Napier Frivolity Minstrels, who will appear at the Town Hall on Friday next, are no mushroom organisation, but are a combination of Napier performers, who have been before the Hawke’s Bay public for 19 years. During that time they have handed over to local charitable institutions over £2OOO, and are still going on with the good work. Every Easter the Frivs., as they are called in Napier, make a tour away from home, and this year are visiting Rotorua, and Main Trunk towns. Twenty-three performers will take part in the entertainment, and the programme is chockful of fun and variety. From the rise of the curtain tjhe fun will be continuous, and patrons can rely on having an enjoyable time. The Minstrels present a clean entertainment, and parents can bring their youngsters without hesitation, as the kiddies enjoy the show as muchas the grown-ups. The performmancc will commence punctually at S sharp.
