PROFESSOR WEAGGE. None should miss the famous scientist, Professor Wragge, at the Three Stars Theatre to-night. He will give a scientific entertainment dealing with the eternal heavens, coming seasons and marvels of radium. The views and photographs used in the illustration of his lecture are most beautiful., and none should miss the golden opportunity of seeing tlieni, as this is the professor's final visit to Taihape. The professor will give his famous forecasts of coming seasons up to 1930. Tin's is the professor's main subject "to- ' night. He will fully explain .the methods by which he arrives at his famous conclusions. "THE GLAD EYE." The box plan for the forthcoming visit of Mr. Beaumont .Smith's "Glad Eye" Company will open to-morrow morning at Finch's Bazaar, for the one performance on Thursday. "March 25th., at the Town Hall, Taihape. "The Glad .Rye is one of the latest successful English attractions now touring the Dominion, and will be presented hero with a company including Miss Ethel Dane, whose recent London successes make her appearance especially attractive, while the main supporting artists were all specially selected for the Australasian tour. "The Glad Eye" is the comedy that kept Loudon holding its sides with laughter for fifteen months. From rise to fall of the curtain "The Glad Eye" is said to be a fountain of ceaseless mirth, and the all-round ability of the company has been endorsed by the press wherever they have appeared. "WITHIN THE LAW. Bayard Veiller's play "Within the Law" is booked to appear here on Saturday, 3rd of April. The visit of a first-class theatrical organisation is sufficiently rare to make the announcement one of exceptional interest. "Within the Law" is a strongly told story, dealing with American police methods. There are many startling scenes, including the one introducing the revolver with the Maxim Silencer (special permission having been received for the use of this dangerous weapon), and the great Third Degree s-cene in Act 4. On Monday, sth of April, the Company appear in "The Rosary." NICIIOLLS' PICTU&ES. A complete change of programme takes place at the Station Street Theatre to-night. The new films are r distinct improvement on the last programme. Among them is what is termed 2000 feet of joy, and is entitled "When the Men left Town." It is a picture of » municipal government, being a conflict amongst city councillors. It shows how women managed tramways, what became of the dustbins, and the query arises, Is masculine help necessary'? It shows a monster parade of protest and gives unmistakeable evidence of which sex wdi». Every woman, single or married, ought to see this picture, and borough councillors .are particularly advised to be present. Seven other fine films make up an excellent programme.
