BOLTS PROM THE BLUE.
BRITISH AERIAL RAID. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE INFLICTED. LONDON, March 12. The Admiralty has published a statement from a correspondent from a reliable source recording that the British airmen on February 21st, besides killing 13 and wounding 35 soldiers, badly damaged a submarine at Zoebri^ge. Several batteries along the coast also suffered. A large number of guns were totally destroyed at Knocke. One officer and seven men were killed. The bombs did not kill any civilians, and did not touch any houses. — (Times and Sydney Sun Special Services.) GERMAN LINER'S EXPLOITS. VICTIMS INCLUDE AMERICAN SHIP. WASHINGTON IRRITATED. NEW YORK, March 12. The German armed liner Prinee Eitel Friedrich arrived at Newport with 326 prisoners from various vessels which she sank. The captain states that he put in for repairs. Since he left Easter Island he sank one Russian sailer, two French sailers and one steamer, also an Anierfcan sailer, the Wiliam Eyre. The latter \s captain is among the prisoners. He states that he left Seattle in November, bound for Queenstown with 5200 tons of wheat valued ajt £60,000. The Prince Eitel overhauled her in the South Atlantic on January 27th, and declared the cargo contraband. He started to jettison it, but after a few hours the German commander said it was too slow, and decided to destroy the ship. WASHINGTON, March 12.
The authorities are irritated at the sinking of the William Pyre, and are inquiring into tho incident. Probably the Trinee Eitel will be interned. NEW YOBK, March 12. The Neutrality Board has recommended allowing the Prince Eitel to repair under the naval authorities' supervision.
