RESOLUTJON BY BOROUGH COUN CIL.

At the Taihape Borortsh Council nueting" last, night the Mayor, Mr A. L. Arrcwsmith, said he thought it was time some organised method of dealing with Belgian relief ana causes in connection with the war, and in his resolution U u Council unanimously adopted the following resolution: "That this Cowncil is of opinion that the time has arrived when the Government shculd impose taxation to meet the financial requirements of the Dominion in connection with the war and relief for the noncrmbatants cf allied eoun.trie3,and that such taxation should be a graduated income tax, so that tltose b3St able fcc bear the burden should pay their fair share thereof, and that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the Governor."
