The two Chiriase who were apprehended by a Harbour Board official on Saturday appeared in the Wellington Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., changed with smuggling opium into Wellington. Both pleaded guilty. The Collector of Customs (Mr MacLaurin )did not s'eek a heavy penalty as that would press hard ly upon the shipping company.
