A BOY KILLED. j TROD ON BY A HORSE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. Francis Wilson, aged seven, was riding on his father's cart, from which he fell. The horse trod on his chest, inflicting injuries from which he died a few hours later. ALLEGED THEFT. WELLINGTON, This Day. Cecil Georga Far>ron, charged at the Magistrate's Court with the theft of monies from the Lyttelton Borough Council, was remanded to appear at Lyttelton on Monday. ESCAPED PRISONER. NOT YET CAPTURED. ROTORUA, This Day. On Saturday night a prisoner, named Alfred Robert Curtis, escaped from the prison camp, at Kaiangaroa, and has not been re-captured. Curtis was sentenced at Auckland in February, 1914, to two years' hard labour, and five years' reformative treatment for forgery.
FALL INTO BOILING POOL. ROTORUA, This Day. On Saturday afternoon a Maopi boy, aged seven, named Tahunga Kereepa, fell into a boiling pool at Whaka. He was fearfully scalded about the body, arms and legs. He is in a critical condition.
