MARKET REPORT. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palm erslcu North, report haviitj held then usual weekly stock sale at the Patmerst on North yards yesterday, when they offered 3,600 ewes to a large attendance of the public. Quotations are as follows: Sound mouth owes in low condition 11/ to 12, 4 and 5 year i2wes in good condition 14/6, G-tooth owes 18/10, cows with calves £5, 18-months steers and heifers £3 10/. HIDE AND SKIN REPORT. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report as under: At our fortnightly sale of skins, hides, and oddments to-day we submitted a good catalogue to the buyers who were in full attendance and with animated competition prices were mainly in excess of those ruling at the previous offering. Present prices are proving very lucrative to the farmers and a continuance seems probable, so {•hat clients should net hesitate to forward all consignments available. The range of prices shewn below gives the state of the market and in comparison with last sale, we quote as follows: Sheepskins, rise all round, up to Ad per lb. Hides par to ?,d lb for sound heavies and ether lines at par. Tallow rise 2/ per cwt. At our next sale which is postponed until the 24th instant, \v@ are offering in addition to the skins and hides all wool shut out from the sale of 25th February. Catalogue will close on 20th instant. Range of prices to-day is as follows: Sheepskins; Half-bred lid,fine crossbred 10fd, medium coarse crossbred lOd to lOifd, short to half-wools 7A cl to 9d, dead and damaged crossbreds 6Ad to Odd, inferior and badly damaged 3d to BJd, lambs 9 d to 103 d, damp salted and gremn 3/ to 7/2, pelts 1/5 to 2/, lambs, salted. 3/10 to 5/6. LONDON TALLOW SALES. Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date of the 3rd instant: “At the tallow auctions prices were slightly dearer owing to the small supplies that were actually available. Buyers declined, however, to operate forward at the present hijgh prices.” APITI SALE. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report: At Apiti cn Tuesday we bad a heavy entry of sheep and a moderate yarding cf cattle, which met with a good sale, r.esultin|g in the bulk of the entry being sold at late rates: Cull ewes 5/3 to 5/6, low-condition ewes 7/7, s.m. ewes 14/, 4 and 5-year ewes 15/9 to 16/4, 4 and 6-tooth ewes (small) 13/, 2,4, and 6-tooth ewes 15/, 2-tooth ewes 16/7 2-tocth ewes (good) 13/4, 4 and 6-tooth ewes (good) 19/5 medium lambs 6/5' to 7/11, forward lambs 10/, fat lambs 25/, aged rams 12/6 to 20/, Lincoln rams 2gns to 31 gns.
