ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC. ~ W7 (Own Correspondent.) Tim annual picnic of the Tiriiaukawa School was held on Friday, afternoon in the school-grounds, and was a great; success. Visitors wore present from . Taihape, and surrounding district, in fact, it is a long time sint'e the :yhoo] lias seen such a crowd. .Afternoon tea was served in I'm schoolroom, under the able supervision of Mrs. Parsons, TL Rowling. E. Rowling, Deva.no, Mun.ro, and Norman. During the afternoon a sports programme was got off with Messrs, Bliss and Norman as’supervisors. The thanks of the committee are due to all those who donated trophies, and to the ladies who looked .after the wants of the visitors. The school prizes were presented during the afternoon by the chairman (Mr. J. E. Thurston). The afternoon’s proceedings wore followed by a dance in the evening, when everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
