TAIHAPE STOCK SALE. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report holding their usual fortnightly sale at Tuihape yesterday. Tliere was the largest entry of stock for Ihis season, and the sale attracted buyers from down country as well as from the north. Bidding was spirited and practically everything was sold under the hammer at prices satisfactory to vendors. We quote: Good 2th. wethers up to 17/1; good 4-th.' to f.f.ra. ewes 11/7 to 15/3, mixed aged ewes 12/11, cull ewes S/l to 10/;, mixed lambs 8/- to 9/-, woolly lambs 10/-, cull lambs 6/- to 7/9, rams 1 guinea to 2 guineas fat bullocks to £ll 7/- forward 3-yr. bullocks £7 17/6 to £S 2/6, 24-yr. steers £5 14/6 to £6 12/-, 2-yr. steers' to £4 10/-, IS-montli steers £3 10/-, empty cows £3 to £5 15/-, 2-yr. heifers £2 17/-, empty heifers £3. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Taihape sale, held on 3rd inst.: —We had a heavy yarding of sheep, more than the advertised numbers coming forward. Bidding was very slow at the beginning of the sale but-liven-ed up as the sale proceeded. Cattle wore hard to quit. We have to report a good sale at the following prices: S.m. ewes 12/6, 12/11, fair ditto 11/-, 11/5, others 9/1, 10/3, 4-th to s.m. ewes 13/9, 15/-, 4- and 5-yr. ewes 13/1, 13/5, fat ewes 17/3, f.m. ewes 8/-, superior lambs 9/1 to 10/6, medium ditto 7/9, 8/4, cull ditto 3/6, 5/3, wether lambs 9/1 to 11/4, b.f. lambs 7/7, 'cull ditto 5/-, 2-th wethers 16/10, 17/7, f.m.
