THE SHOW.
SPLE\'DU PrtOSPECTS. This niorsiag U.o snow L'cund pres wiled a scene of activity and a visitin,' pressman witnessed numerous officials and assistants working earnetly to complete the preliminary arrangements for the successful completion of tomorrow's programme. President Dixon was lending a helping' hand, and supervising general operations. Marquees, hurdles, sheep and cattle pens have been erected and generally exhibitors should feel pleased with the arrangements made for the penning cf stock. Seats have been placed under the belt of trees which borders the oval and the bustle attendant on the several operations impresses one with the thoroughness of the arrangements, which when completed, should leave little room for cavilling. The omnipresent purveyor of amusement was busy with timber,' hammer and saw, and to-morrow's attendance promises to be exceptionally well catered for in the way of amusement. So far outside exhibitors are conspicuous by their absence but the late trains are ceitain to provide an influx of stock over which both our matured and embryo critics will find plenty to interest them. The local ladies will conduct a luncheon and refreshment room, Wakeman Bros, will have a plentiful supply of liquid necessities, and the mothers with children will appreciate the thoughtfulness of the Plunket Nurse Society in providing a mother's retreat.
The weather conditions promise to be all that can be desired, and with record entries and special trains Taihape and district should be present in force.
