STRIKES FEAR INTO GERMANS. CONSIDERABLE CAPTURES MADE. (Reed 9.5 a.m.) PARIS, Feb 11.

The British success at Violaines, between Labassee and Festubert, is important, as the Germans were strongly entrenched, but they W’ere surprised and unnerved by the deadly fire of two British field pieces, and speedily surrendered when the British charged. The British cn Saturday night and Sunday, after fierce fighting, captured two trenches at Festubert, taking 500 prisoners, many of whom were young boys who had just reached the front.
