AUCKLAND, This Day. A private cable announces the death of the Rev. W. F. Long, who was drowned at Norfolk Island in endeavouring to save the life of one of the Melanesian boys. [The Eev. F. F. Long is a son of Mrs. Long, for many years a resident of Feilding. Prior to .taking up mission work he was engaged in the outskirts of the Auckland' Anglican Dioccese. Dr. Cyril Long, of Auckland, is a brother.]
