HURN CUP MATCH. A team >e<f Gonville bowlers visited Taihape yesterday to attempt to wrest from the local club, the much-sought-after Hum Cup. The competing teams were: Gonville —Dick, Bcutray, Bowater, Ogilvie (s); Taihape: Hesketh, Evans-, Wrightsen, McKenzie (s). Gonville drew first blood, scoring two, not scoring again till Mae 3rd head, when they drew level, 4 all. Taihape scored on the next tnree, bringing their total to 11. The scoring continued fairly even, Taihape always having the lead, although Gonville nearly equalised in the 18th head, the scores then reading: Gonville 17, Taihape 18. Taihape added six in the last three beads, thus retaining the Cup by 24 to 17.
