SATISFACTORY INFORMATION
Press Association —GopyrigM. (Reed 1.40 p.rn.) j LONDON. Feb 9. i In the House of Commons Mr Tenj ant, in introducing nominal army estimates, made a guarded statement, and said it was impolitic to announce the numbers and distribution of army recruiting. It was very satisfactory, and ther e was no cause for discontent, still less for disquiet. Though more were needed it might have made inroads on important industries. He appealed to the Labour Party to help the Government sc as to enable women to replace men during the war. Trade Unionists might adopt less stringent factory act regulations, which had already been abrogated in many works. There was not a single casualty during the world-wide transportation of troops. British made aeroplane engines wore now used and aeroplanes were so well made that they lasted twice as long as any other. Therecruiting for flying was extraordinary, and, he added. Lord Kitchener was considering giving a medal to technical workers in armament and other industries.
