DALGETY AND COMPANY, LTD. Wo have to report having a very good entry cf sheep and a fair yarding of cattle at our Hunterville sale on Tuesday, 2nd inst. Bidding at times was inclined io be dull, but we quitted nearly the whole of our entry at the following prices: Cull mixed lambs 3/1, 3/8, to 4/5, small do to 6/1, medium do. to 7/, mixed ages ewes in low condition 9/4, 9/10, to 10/7. mixed aged ewes 11/ to 11/10, small 2 tooth wethers to 11/11, 2 tooth wethers 1 “>/G to IG/, 15 months steers £2 10/ to £3 1/, empty cows to £4 18/, weaners 28/, bulls £3 to £4 5/, cows and calves £5, fat and forward cows to £G, 31 year bullocks to £9 10.
We have to report having a very geed yarding of sheep and a small entry cf cattle at cur Taihape sale on Wednesday, 3rd inst. There was a large attendance of buyers from down c cun try, and up the Main Trunk Line, and We effected a total clearance at the following prices:
Mixed shorn lambs 8/6, 8/11 to 9/9, good shorn ewe lambs to 12/5. good woolly lambs 10/6 to 12/, mixed age ewes to 12/1, small 2 tooth ewes to 13/10, mixed 2 tooths to 14/6, 2 tooth wethers 15/, 15/9, to 15/10, bad coloured yearlings to 32/6, store cows to £4 2/6, IS months steers to £4 5/6, bulls £7 to £7 10/. At our weekly Palmerston North sale, cn Thursday, 4th inst, we offered a good yarding of stock to a large attendance cf buyers. Quotations: Sound month ewes, 12/5, poor conditioned ewes 7/ to 7/6, Southdown lambs, shorn, 6/, 7/6 to 10/, woolly medium lambs 7/11, 2 tcoth wethers 16/8, 3 and 4 year bullocks £9 0/6, bulls £3, store cows, good condition, £5.
