A MINE EXPLOSION. GREAT LOSS OF LIFE. (Heed 8.40 a.rn.) NEW YORK, Feb 7. Twenty-three miners were killed by an explosion in the Carlisle mine, Fayetteville, West Virginia. One hundred and sixty were rescued after being entombed. Many of their bodies have been recovered.
