PRESENTATION TO MR. AND MRS. PLUNKETT. (Our Own Correspondent), Mr. I. Plunkett, who has for the pas* three years been employed at the Box Company's mill at Ohutu as managing foremana, has rel[uguishetl his position to engage in business in Taihape. Mr. and Mrs. Plunkctt have been held in high esteem by the many employees at the mill and the setlerg of Ohutu, and last night oportunity was taken to give them a fitting farewell. The guests were entertained in royal fashion, and Mr. and Mrs. Plunkett received a ten and coffe service and a silver-mounted oak tray from the employees at tft« mill, the members of the Albion Football Club (of which Mr. Plunkett li.sk acted as manager), and the Obu.t'i Dance Committee.. Mr. J. Rafter was the chief speaker, and in handing the inoinentps to the recipients, expressed regreat at their departure. As working manager, Mr. Plunkett had always exercised goodwill and a helpful disposition with firmness. He had been a leader in all sports in which the mjll employees participated and his helpful advice and active Cooperation was always willingly given. Mr. J. Morris, nightwatchman; also added his felicitations on behalf of the donors, and Mr. Mclintee (yard foreman) endorsed what had been said in praise of Mr. and Mrs. Plunkett, wUo#c ehaith was drunk in bumpers to the accompaniment of best wishes for their future success and welfare. Mr Plunkctt, who vas visibly affected by the kind expressions voiced on behalf of all, thanked the several donors for their kind sentiments and presentations, which would always * l-ie cherished as momentos of a pleasant <*<>• journ at Ohutu.
