OUR PRODUCE AT BOMJ

W. W'eddel and Co.,s dairy produce anu weekly market report, dated London, December IS, is as follows:

Butter: Hhe supplies on spot dming the last- fortnight have not been sufficient for the requirements cf the trade. In consequence'of this the market has been very awkward, and extreme prices have been paid for goods actually available. New Zealand: The Ruahine, Tainui, and Pakeha are now discharging, and it is hoped that the butter on these steamers will be available for the Christmas trade requirements. There is a very active enquiry for both salted and unsalUd, and although sales were made a few days ago at-fifem 132 s up to 136 s for salted creameries, and 134 s to 136 s for unsalted, the lowest quotations to-day ate 136 s to 138 s for salted, and 138 s to 140 s i'cr unsalted, out cf either of the, above steamers.

Australian: Arrivals this week consist cf the Matatua, Palermo, Euri- \ pid'cS, and Kv.mara, but the; butter from the last-named vessel will not be : available until next week. The total quantity on board tho above steamers is only about 14,897 boxes. Prices range from 134 s to 136 s fo rsalted, and 136 s to 140 s for unsalted. Danish: The official quotation has j again been advanced lkr, and now i stands at 133kr. Values on spot i range from 134 s tc 136 s for salted, notwithstanding these high prices the demand this week has been better than was anticipated. Siberian: There has been an active enquiry for these goods, and for really best quality up to as high as 130 s has been paid, whilst ordinary good to fine descriptions have realised from 120 sup to 1245, with inferior sorts selling at 118 s up to 120 s. j Argentine: The Highland Warrior, I with 3925 boxes on board, has just j discharged, and quotations for best salted and unsalted range from 132 s j to 136 s (earlier in the week prices ! were. 130 s to 1325.) Canadian : Quotations for finest I white and coloured are unchanged, and range from 78s to 89s, while c.i.f. : sales have gone through at from 76s i up to 77s od, according to quality and i section. New Zealand: Buyers are waiting ! or the Ruahine, Tainui, the Pakeha : oheese, and consignments are expect- ; sd to realise from 76s to 77s for first grade white and coloured. DANNEVTRKE, SALES.
