— A GERMAN BOASTER. ARRESTED AT WAiHI. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) WAIHT, Feb. 1. Walter Mcrmeister, a German subject;, aged 25 and unmarried, was arrested cn Saturday. His anti-British remarks led to his arrest. He boasted that while New Zealand wasters condemned Germans, they were afraid to venture from their own country to dgiit. The body of a seaman named Green, who while working on the steamer Wirral at Lyttelton on Tuesday last was drowned through being dragged into the water by a rope which became entangled round the propeller, was recovered last evening.
